Order Asterales, Family Asteraceae, Genus Antennaria
Our Security Forces are on the job, folks! When I sent out an email with a photo of this plant, and put "Pussytoes" in the subject line, they blocked the email from reaching Dan, my husband, at NOAA! Only after they had"screened"it, did they allow it through. Ha! This little Pussytoes is not as robust as its cousins, and prefers shade.
