Ratibida columnifera looks like a normal sunflower on steroids. I have found these at the top of 359 and along Pine Glade Road. Other names include: Mexican hat, Red-spike Mexican hat, Upright prairie coneflower, Prairie coneflower, Long-headed coneflower, Thimbleflower.
