As of January 2018, APG IV has placed Family Melanthiaceae in Order Liliales. These are two of our most dangerously toxic plants. They have Toxicoscorion and Anticlea as synoyms, and controversy exists about the correct names. I am following Ackerfield in Flora of North America.
