The NRDC's 1996 publication, Flying Off Course: Environmental Impacts of America's Airports, is the result of a landmark study and is “must” reading for anyone interested in this topic.

Noise Hot-Line

303-342-2380 / 1-800-417-2988
Fax: 303-342-2366

DIA's Noise Hot-Line is a 24-hour a day automated recorder of noise complaints. Imperfect and at times frustrating to use, DIA's Noise Hot-Line is the only "official" means of logging your concerns. The numbers of complaints received are used as the measure of success for DIA's noise mitigation policies. Only one complaint may be registered per call. Complaints may also be faxed in a log format, such as the sample in BC CAAN Newsletter (Appendix 10.4). If 1,000 households each phoned in 3 complaints a month, DIA would continue to hold the dubious distinction of being the #1 "noise offender" in the USA, resulting in continued pressure to bring about change! Copies of their quarterly report may be requested by calling 303-342-2361.
