11.11 Recommendations

11.11.1 Recommendations for PUMA

1. PUMA should appoint a planning committee to monitor and participate in future revisions of the BCCP.
2. PUMA should appoint a planning committee to monitor and participate in the implementation of the Forest Plan.
3. PUMA should appoint a land conservation committee to interact with public and private land conservation agencies, and implement land conservation priorities.
4. PUMA should cooperate with the Town of Nederland, the City of Boulder, county, state and federal governments to collect baseline data for use in planning (examples of relevant baseline data include recreation visitor counts, bio-diversity data, and documentation of impacts to the natural environment).

6. PUMA should monitor site plan reviews for residential construction on private lands within the Planning Area. PUMA should encourage property owners whose lands include significant natural resources to include land conservation in their land use proposals.

11.11.2 Recommendations for Boulder County

1. Recognize MEPP through adoption of text amendments to the Boulder County Comprehensive Plan.
2. PUMA should be added to the referral list for County land use decisions within and adjacent to the Planning Area.
3. Take into consideration any points of agreement reached between PUMA and property owner(s) on land use porposals within the MEPP area, when making land use decisions..

11.11.3 Recommendations for the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests

1. PUMA should be added to the Forest Service referral list for all planning and management projects within and adjacent to the Planning Area.

11.11.4 Recommendations for Denver Water

1. PUMA should be added to the Denver Water referral list for all planning and management projects within and adjacent to the Planning Area.

11.11.5 Recommendations for the Town of Nederland

1. PUMA should be added to the Town of Nederland referral list for all planning and management projects within and adjacent to the Planning Area.

11.11.6 Recommendations for Gilpin County

1. PUMA should be added to the Gilpin County referral list for all planning and management projects within and adjacent to the Planning Area.
