3.8 Vision Statement and Desired Future Conditions
Vision Statement
PUMA desires clean and properly
functioning watersheds in support of local consumptive needs for
domestic and agricultural water, as well as for ecological and
hydrological functions. The watersheds should also serve as a source
of clean water for downstream and downslope users.
Desired Future Conditions
- Groundwater, surface water, and drinking water that meet or exceed
all state and federal water quality standards.
- reservation of the existing hydrological and ecological functions
of wetlands.
- Cleanup of hazardous sites, as necessary.
