PUMA wishes to preserve, maintain, and interpret the significant cultural resources in the Planning Area. Significant cultural resources include those eligible for the National and State Registers, local (Boulder County) landmarks, and in some cases may include resources of neighborhood importance.
Boulder County, the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, and Denver Water should conduct cultural resource management consistent with applicable regulations and policies. Determinations of eligibility to the NRHP or local landmark status should be completed in a timely manner. Significant resources should have appropriate management plans developed for the ongoing maintenance and protection of these resources. A coordinated plan for cultural resource management on private property should be created and implemented.
